Using cash back credit cards for groceries is often frowned upon due to the high levels of interest associated with credit cards. However, the best usage of credit cards revolves around only spending what you can afford to spend and paying off your credit card balances each month to avoid paying interest. If you use your credit cards that offer cash back at supermarkets then this is an excellent way to save money at supermarkets. Not only do these credit cards offer the opportunity to save money at supermarkets, you can also earn rewards on your other every day purchases.

Credit cards when used correctly are a way that you can build your credit, earn points that can be used for rewards and receive cash back from. While points from credit cards are nice you have to convert those points into rewards and discounts towards things such as airline flights, hotel reservations, discounts on car rentals and other discounts.

With cash back credit cards however you can see immediately how buying things with your credit cards converts into cash back savings for you. This can mean greater discounts towards purchases when you buy things on sale as you spend the money upfront but then receive a percentage of the money you’ve spent back to your account. The cash back can then be used towards your balances or even transferred back to your bank account.

Annual fees and carrying balances however can eat into the cash back you receive as it’s an added tax for using the card. With interest rates rising and therefore credit card interest rates rising as well it’s best not to keep any balances and pay your credit card bill off every month. It makes sense to apply for and keep credit cards with no annual fee as no fees increases the worth of the cash back you receive from using the credit cards. In a previous article I went over hotel credit cards with no annual fee. In this article we’ll discuss the best cash back credit cards with no annual fee.

The amount of cash back varies based on the credit card you use and the category of purchases you make. Cash back can also vary depending on how you use the card. For instance, Apple’s credit card issued by Goldman Sach’s bank provides 2% cash back on all purchases made using Apple Pay irrespective of the category of purchase. The list below is by no means exhaustive and is not in any particular order. The list is mainly based on how much cash back you can receive and the categories included in the cash back deals.

With the average cost of going out increasing due to food costs rising many people have begun to look for alternatives and started cooking more at home as well. According to the BLS the cost of food at home increased 3.5 percent since the pandemic while the cost of food away from home increased 4.5%. The average cost of eating out can range anywhere between $2,000 and $3,500 spent for the year with the average American spending $3,000 a year eating out.

The pandemic led to more people cooking at home instead of eating out at restaurants for safety reasons. Now that the pandemic has receded into the background many companies have begun mandating that employees return to work. With the return to work, employees will not have less time on their hands to cook the food that the want when they want it.

One way that consumers can still have their food and cook it too is by meal prepping. There are different routes that you can take to meal prepping and there are no steadfast rules. Some people like to cook one large meal and divide the meal by the number of days they plan to eat that dish. Other people may season their meats ahead of time with a plan to cook it a different way each day. While you may be cooking each day the time spent cooking can be cut down since your main dish is already seasoned and there will be less dishes needing to be cleaned since all the prep work is down ahead of time.

If you’re a fast cook then simply preparing the meats ahead of time may be the route that you want to take. This way you can ensure that you cook the exact portions that you want to eat and you’re guaranteed a fresh meal every day. You may also choose to prep all of your fresh seasonings that you want to use in your meals. If you’re a basic cook then preparing the meal you cook best may be the way to go and then dividing that meal that you only need to warm up when you’re ready to eat.

How Does Meal Prep Save You Money?

  1. Reduces dining out: When you have pre-prepared meals ready to go, you’re less likely to eat out or order takeout, which can be more expensive compared to cooking at home. By avoiding frequent restaurant meals, you save money on the higher prices associated with dining out.
  2. Buying in bulk: Meal prepping often involves purchasing ingredients in larger quantities, which can be more cost-effective. Buying in bulk allows you to take advantage of discounts and deals offered on larger packages or at wholesale stores. This way, you can save money per unit or per serving of food.
  3. Minimizes food waste: Meal prepping allows you to plan your meals and portion them accordingly. This reduces the chances of food going bad or being wasted because you can utilize ingredients more efficiently. With less food waste, you save money by making the most out of the groceries you purchase.
  4. Takes advantage of sales and seasonal produce: When you plan your meals in advance, you can keep an eye on sales and discounts at your local grocery stores. By incorporating these discounted items into your meal prep, you can save money on groceries. Additionally, buying seasonal produce is often cheaper, and you can plan your meals around these ingredients, further reducing costs.
  5. Efficient use of leftovers: Meal prepping often involves cooking larger batches of food, which means you’ll have leftovers. These leftovers can be repurposed into new meals, reducing the need to buy additional ingredients. Transforming leftovers into new dishes or incorporating them into different recipes helps save money and prevents food waste.
  6. Avoids impulse purchases: By having a plan and pre-prepared meals, you can avoid spontaneous trips to the grocery store where you might be tempted to buy items you don’t need. Having a list of ingredients and sticking to it reduces impulse purchases and saves money by keeping you focused on what you actually need.

What are some of the benefits of meal prepping?

  1. Time-saving: Meal prep allows you to streamline your cooking process by preparing multiple meals at once. This means you spend less time in the kitchen during busy weekdays and have more free time to relax or pursue other activities.
  2. Money-saving: When you plan your meals in advance, you can make a shopping list and buy ingredients in bulk, reducing food waste and saving money in the long run. Additionally, by avoiding last-minute takeout or restaurant meals, you can cut down on unnecessary expenses.
  3. Health and portion control: Meal prep enables you to have better control over the ingredients you use and portion sizes, leading to healthier and balanced meals. You can incorporate a variety of nutrient-rich foods, control added sugars and unhealthy fats, and customize meals to fit specific dietary needs or preferences.
  4. Stress reduction: With pre-prepared meals waiting in the fridge, you eliminate the daily question of “What’s for dinner?” and the stress associated with last-minute meal decisions. Meal prep brings a sense of structure and organization to your eating routine, reducing decision fatigue.

How To Get Started With Meal Prepping

  1. Planning your meals: Begin by deciding how many meals you want to prepare in advance and which days of the week you’ll be using them. Consider your schedule, dietary goals, and the number of people you’re cooking for. Start with simple recipes and gradually expand your repertoire.
  2. Developing a grocery list: Based on your planned meals, create a comprehensive shopping list. Include fresh produce, proteins, grains, and pantry staples. Stick to your list to avoid impulsive purchases and unnecessary expenses.
  3. Efficient cooking techniques: Optimize your time by multitasking in the kitchen. Simultaneously roast vegetables, cook grains, and marinate proteins. Utilize appliances like slow cookers or pressure cookers to save time and effort.
  4. Proper storage: Invest in high-quality meal prep containers that are freezer and microwave-safe. Portion out your meals and label them with dates for easy tracking. Consider investing in compartmentalized containers for convenient separation of different components.

How Meal Prepping Saves You Time

  1. Efficient Grocery Shopping (Word count: 140) One of the primary time-saving benefits of meal prep is streamlined grocery shopping. By planning your meals in advance, you can create a detailed shopping list, ensuring you purchase only the necessary ingredients. This eliminates impulsive purchases and time wasted wandering through supermarket aisles. Additionally, shopping once a week or less saves multiple trips to the store, freeing up valuable time for other activities.
  2. Quick and Easy Meal Preparation (Word count: 160) Meal prep involves dedicating a specific time, usually once or twice a week, to prepare meals for the upcoming days. During this focused session, you can chop vegetables, marinate meats, and cook grains in bulk. By preparing multiple servings at once, you minimize the need for repetitive meal prep tasks throughout the week. Simply reheat or assemble pre-prepared components, and your meals are ready to enjoy.
  3. Reduced Cleanup Time (Word count: 120) Preparing meals in bulk significantly reduces the number of dishes and utensils used throughout the week. Instead of washing pots, pans, and cutting boards every day, you can tackle them all at once during your meal prep session. This consolidation of cleanup time can be a substantial time-saver, leaving you with fewer chores and more time to relax or pursue other interests.
  4. Streamlined Decision-Making (Word count: 140) Have you ever spent an excessive amount of time pondering what to eat for each meal? Meal prep eliminates this decision fatigue by providing you with pre-determined meals for the week. By planning your menu in advance, you eliminate the need to think about what to cook, thus saving time and mental energy. Additionally, knowing that healthy and delicious meals are readily available reduces the temptation to resort to unhealthy fast food options.
  5. Increased Productivity (Word count: 160) With meal prep, you can say goodbye to the daily distractions and interruptions caused by meal preparation. By allocating a dedicated time slot for cooking and packing meals, you can optimize your productivity throughout the week. Whether it’s focusing on work, completing household tasks, or pursuing hobbies, meal prep allows you to allocate your time more efficiently.

Meal prepping is a great way to ensure that you know where all of the food you eat comes from, that the food is nutrient dense and healthy and not full of sodium. It can take some time and effort at the beginning but eventually you start to get the hang of it and it’s easy to prepare all of your meals in advance.

9 Adsense Alternatives For Small Websites https://goodfinancetips.com/9-adsense-alternatives-for-small-websites/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=9-adsense-alternatives-for-small-websites Sun, 18 Jun 2023 01:57:53 +0000 https://goodfinancetips.com/?p=301 9 Adsense Alternatives For Small Websites Read More »

Let’s explore Adsense Alternatives For Small Websites. First, Adsense is one of the easiest ways to get started with monetizing your blog. Adsense is Google’s display ad network that pay publishers a fee when visitors to their website click on Adsense ads that the site is displaying. Google then pays it’s publishers the following month once their earnings have reached or surpassed the payout threshold of $100 for the month.

However not all blog and website owners are eligible to have Adsense ads on their sites, while other may have been banned by Google due to not following their rules or for circumventing their rules altogether. If you are not able to get monetized by Google Adsense do not worry as there are alternatives for monetizing your sites.

9 Adsense Alternatives For Small Websites

    1. Affiliate Marketing – Affiliate Marketing is when a 3rd party company pays an individual a commission for assisting with a sale. One of the largest affiliate marketing programs on the internet is run by Amazon with there Amazon Associates Program (https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/).One example of how this works is a publisher will review or recommend a product to their visitors with outbound links that go directly to Amazon. When the visitors purchased the product from Amazon then the referrer or the publisher in this case will earn a commission from Amazon.Amazon’s affiliate site is easy to join and they accept publishers from around the world. Although their site is easy to join, many people find their commission structure to be low requiring hundreds of sales to make significant money. However referrers may earn commissions not only on products they recommend but also on other products their visitors purchase while on Amazon. Other popular sites that offer affiliate marketing programs which work in the same way as the Amazon program are Shareasale (https://www.shareasale.com/) and Commission Junction (https://www.cj.com/).
    2. Sponsored Posts and Reviews – Sponsored posts and reviews can earn publishers money in a couple of different ways. One way publishers can earn money is by either agreeing to let a 3rd party publisher place a piece of content on their site which links out to the 3rd party’s website or by writing the post on behalf of the 3rd party also linking to the 3rd party’s website. The publisher can either collect a flat fee upfront or collect a fee based on how many visitors visit the 3rd party’s website or a combination of both. Another way they can make money is with sponsored reviews of a specific product or website. Again the publisher can take a fee upfront for reviewing the product or site, or collect a commission when visitors purchase the reviewed product. Say for example the owner of a keyword software asks the publisher to review the product for their readers. The publisher can negotiate a commission structure where they receive a portion of the sale of the product or they can charge a set fee upfront and cut themselves out of any sales the product owner receives from the review. If you’re looking for websites that can help with your sponsored posts and reviews then a couple of sites you may want to look into include Cooperatize (https://www.cooperatize.com/) and Sponsored Reviews (https://www.sponsoredreviews.com/)
    3. Digital Products – Selling digital products is another Adsense alternative for small websites. Depending on the niche your website is in you can offer digital products for sale for your visitors.Selling digital products works in any niche and can be a very lucrative alternative to Adsense. You can offer niche specific products teaching people in your niche how to use products or services. The digital products can be in video or written form and include things such as online courses, e-books, videos and templates. If you are an expert in your niche there will always be people who are willing to pay for your expertise and knowledge. One of the roadblocks to setting up a digital product may be how to host your products for sale. The good news is that there are several websites which offer all of the tools you need to begin selling your digital products today. Sites such as Clickbank (Home – ClickBank), Gumroad (https://gumroad.com/) and Teachable https://teachable.com/ offer publishers all the tools they need to sell their digital products.
    4. Selling Physical Products – Selling physical products works is another way that small websites can monetize their sites without depending on Adsense revenue. Instead of acting as a middleman for Affiliate websites, why not start selling your own physical products? Physical products run the gamut from t-shirts, mugs, candles, planners, and other accessories. No matter what niche your site is in their will likely be a physical product associated with your site. If you can’t think of what type of products may be suitable for you to sell then you must do market research to see what people in your niche are buying. Sites such as Etsy (https://www.etsy.com/) sell thousands of products in different niches and they have built in visitors to their site as well. They sell everything on their site from fresh produce, to candles, to digital downloads, to t-shirts to bracelets, to earrings. The options are seemingly unlimited. You can use Etsy to host your physical product store and send visitors directly to your site. Other options for selling your physical products include Shopify (https://www.shopify.com/) and WooCommerce (https://www.woocommerce.com). Let’s say for example you have a niche website all about Apple products. You could purchase Apple accessories wholesale and resale them on your website. Items such as Apple Watch bands and iPhone cases are always huge sellers and you can use your blog to redirect visitors into buying accessories from you.
    5. Offering Memberships And/Or Premium Content – Although most blogs offer content for free, one method worth considering is offering freemium and premium content that users have to pay to access. You can get premium content to work by offering visitors excellent content for free on your site which will then lead them to advanced content that you have that is not available to the general public. In order to view the advanced content your users will have to pay a fee for it. This is similar to offering a digital product for sell, however with premium content users will generally stay on your site and only those users that have paid for that content will be able to view it.You can also offer this content via a membership that you offer on your website. You can have a membership where each month you add more content for your users. As long as the user remains a member they’ll keep receiving new content. Or you may have a membership site that users can access with a one-time fee and all the content is available at once. These sorts of sites can work well with most niches that offer information.
    6. Sponsored Ads and Banners – Instead of using Google’s Adsense platform many publishers choose to instead sell their own display ads to other advertisers looking to get more traffic to their sites and products. Advertisers will be interested in placing ads on your site once you have proven that you have visitors to your site and you can sustain these visitors and they are real people and not bots. You can choose to setup your own ad exchange or you can work with sites that have established ad exchanges that work directly with advertisers making the process hands off for you. Platforms such as BuySellAds (https://www.buysellads.com/) will let you join their ad exchange if your site has traffic and fits into one of the niches they sell advertising for. Advertisers pay a fee for a certain amount of impressions and BuySellAds will then pay you part of the fee they receive.

Diversifying your blog’s monetization is one of the best things you can do for the bottom line for your business. When you diversify your earnings methods you won’t have to worry about what will happen to your if you’re blocked from participating in one of the above mentioned methods. Diversifying may also be a way to increase your revenue as you will be using many different methods to bring money into your business. If ad revenue is slow one month maybe having someone pay you for a sponsored post can offset the loss in ad revenue. These methods can help you maximize your earning potential and deliver extra value to your readers.

Are credit monitoring services worth it? https://goodfinancetips.com/are-credit-monitoring-services-worth-it/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=are-credit-monitoring-services-worth-it Sun, 02 Jan 2022 21:59:36 +0000 https://goodfinancetips.com/?p=101 Are credit monitoring services worth it? Are credit monitoring services worth the prices they charge?

Companies such as Experian, Equifax and Transunion have both free and paid credit monitoring services. The free services aren’t much different than what most credit card issuers provide to their customers. Free services offer the ability to view your score(s), (for example Experian will allow you to see one version of your Experian score), alert you to credit inquiries and alert you when changes to your score take place.

These free services can be extremely useful when you’re trying to get your credit on track or if you’ve previously been a victim of fraudulent activity and you now want to be alerted to any activities that look suspicious.

You can sign up for free and you’ll receive alerts any time a credit check is run (these alerts will come immediately) or if there are changes to you score (this will usually be done on a weekly basis when you score is updated). Services such as Credit Karma and Credit Monkey also offer credit monitoring and repair services for free.

In addition to the free offering these companies provide there are also higher tiered services that you can pay for on a monthly basis. Despite the free offerings being available not all of the information you may want is available for free. With Experian for example you’re able to see your Experian FICO 8 score, your total outstanding debt, your total open credit accounts as well as recent credit inquiries. However you are not given insight into your other scores at the other credit bureaus which can vary, nor can you see other versions of your FICO score such as the scores lenders use to assess your mortgage credit worthiness. Deeper insights into your full credit worthiness can be the difference between buying a home and being shut out of the home buying process.

Credit Karma does offer more information than what you receive from Equifax but even that may not be sufficient information depending on your needs. With Credit Karma you will not have access to your Experian score, but you will have access to your Transunion and Equifax scores as well as a snap shot of your open credit lines and total debt. Credit Karma also provides daily tips that you can use to improve your financial health. They offer things such as credit protection, data breach monitoring (useful for when your information appears in security breaches) as well as debt repayment calculators and mortgage refinance calculators. They do not have a paid tier as the earn money by promoting affiliate offers for credit cards, mortgages, and mortgage refinancing.

So you’re probably wondering why you would pay for a service if you have access to so much information for free and generally are credit monitoring services worth it?

Here’s what Experian’s paid service offers for $24.99 a month.

1. Access to all 3 FICO reports. Not only will you see your Experian score, you will also see your Transunion and Equifax scores updated on a monthly basis.

2. Credit monitoring for all 3 credit bureaus.

3. Daily FICO scores

4. Experian credit lock (useful for if you need to shut down your credit and attempts to open new accounts immediately)

5. Identity protection and alerts

6. Up to 1 million Identity Theft Insurance

7. Lost Wallet Assistance.

I personally do not think that the services they offer are worth the hefty monthly fee for the additional services. Most people will be fine with the free services and the ability to keep an eye on one of your FICO scores on a daily basis. Also, credit cards themselves offer free credit monitoring and the ability to lock your cards if you lose your wallet and want to make sure no one else can use your cards.

Additionally everyone in the United States is entitled to a free credit report from all three credit bureaus each year. I would keep this option open and only use it when I was planning to make a big purchase such as a house or a car. Requesting your report in advance will ensure that you aren’t hit with any surprises when it’s time to make a purchase. You can simply go to www.annualcreditreport.com and request a copy of your credit report from the different agencies.

For now sign up with both Credit Karma and Experian and start keeping an eye on your credit scores. Then when you’re in the planning stages of making a purchase request a copy of your credit report and remove any lingering items that you can.

What Are The First Steps To Buying A House https://goodfinancetips.com/what-are-the-first-steps-to-buying-a-house/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=what-are-the-first-steps-to-buying-a-house Mon, 25 Oct 2021 19:16:56 +0000 https://goodfinancetips.com/?p=186 What Are The First Steps To Buying A House Read More »

]]>
Everyone dreams of owning a house someday, but what are the first steps to buying a house?

When you decide that you’re ready to buy a house, it’s a good idea to start saving up money. Look in your bank account and see how much is saved. If there isn’t enough money to cover the initial down payment plus closing costs, then try budgeting so that an amount equivalent to at least 10% of the price of the house ends up in your savings every month. Then add any amount that comes up from unexpected expenses into this monthly deposit plan. Adding 20-30% for closing costs may also be necessary when you reach the point where all funds from other sources have been exhausted. This should be added on top of the 10% rule.

Once you have saved up enough money, the next step is to determine what kind of house to look for. Should it be a condo or apartment? A single-family home? A townhouse? Or maybe an all-suite hotel type of residence that has multiple rooms and residents under one roof? These choices entirely depend on personal preference, but some things should always be kept in mind when making this decision. Think about where you would like to live. If work is located relatively close, then commute time should not affect your choice too much.

You want to know how much house you can purchase. The price of homes depends on many factors. It is impossible to tell precisely what a piece of real estate will cost because the prices are constantly changing. If this is your first home, it’s also wise to establish how much you can afford for your monthly payment, including mortgage insurance and taxes. For example, if one calculates that they must have an annual income of $125,000 before deductions to finance the proposed loan repayment obligation comfortably without overextending his means or risking defaulting on payments, he would be looking for homes at about $500,000 with repayments of around $2600 per month.

Find out whether you can obtain a loan at an interest rate that meets your needs. If the difference between two different mortgage rates is $100 per month or $1200 per year, it’s well worth shopping around to find out which lender offers the best deal.

Look to see whether the property you’re contemplating buying is mortgaged. Even though there are plenty of houses for sale for between $500K and $750K in my area, I would still prefer to spend less than $650K – even if it means living further out of town. However, if work will require driving more than 20 minutes every day, it might be wiser to choose something closer to your workplace. Also, consider how much you want to fix up a house yourself vs. hiring a professional contractor. If the answer is “a lot,” then single-family homes are probably suitable for you, whereas if you have no interest in home repairs and renovation, being part of a larger community might be more beneficial to your lifestyle.

Once you have decided on where and what type of house you want, it’s time to determine market value and find one that fits your budget within your preferred location. Look online at nearby homes currently for sale to get an idea of going prices for these residences in the area. Make sure you visit any potential purchase in person before sealing the deal so that there are no unpleasant surprises or issues with upkeep later down the road. Once you find a house that looks like a good fit, it’s time to put in an offer. Remember that most requests are rejected as soon as possible by listing agents without even being presented to the seller because they’re either below the asking price or come from potential buyers with no financing available. To improve your chances of getting a counter-offer and eventually a sale, make sure your offer is at or near market value and comes from someone who can provide proof of funding for the purchase. The time waiting for a response during this part of the process may feel much longer than it is – be patient!

After receiving a counter-offer from the home seller, it’s up to you whether you want to accept or reject it. If you do, don’t forget to include contingencies such as a home inspection and appraisal so that everything goes more smoothly. Once the contingency period is over and no problems are found, it’s time to do all of the necessary paperwork and legalese involved in purchasing your new house!

These steps involve many details and can be difficult for some people to complete on their own, which is why hiring a Realtor (real estate agent) may be helpful. They help with the entire process from start to close while ensuring that you get what you want at an affordable price within your budget. Be aware that if you choose this route, there will likely be additional fees associated with this service beyond just commissions or sales fees. Where possible, try to negotiate with the owner to either reduce the asking price or accept payments over an extended period. Some people like making interest-only payments while they’re still saving up for a large deposit. If you’re not already familiar with the area, it’s worth spending time to check out the neighborhood on foot before making an offer. have an idea about what type of arrangement will suit you best: will you find it more convenient to own or rent?

The last step is simply moving into your new house and relaxing! Make sure to take a deep breath and enjoy your new piece of property before you start making any changes or renovations – it can be very stressful if you go overboard on this front. The absolute worst thing that could happen now is not being able to pay your mortgage because a renovation or two turned out to be more expensive than expected. Enjoy yourself and make intelligent decisions as you begin this new chapter in your life!

What is a credit card?

A credit card is a plastic card issued by the banks that allows you to borrow money from the bank. The borrower can spend up to a limit set on this card within a specified period. You usually pay the borrowed amount in one or two installments with interest before getting your next salary cheque. This way, you get a short-term loan without having to queue up at the bank for hours or deal with a broker!

Credit cards are essentially small loans made to you by the credit card issuer. The interest rate on your card is often very high, but it allows you to have access to instant cash when you need it without having to wait for weeks before getting a bank loan.

These days, even online shopping sites offer free shipping if you pay using your credit card.

Why do I need a credit card?

You need a credit card for several reasons. One reason could be that you are currently working in another country. Still, you would like to make online purchases without having to go through the hassle of getting an international debit or credit card. Another reason could be that your bank does not provide home foreign currency loans, and you want to borrow against a fixed deposit. Or maybe you want to buy a pair of jeans in your favorite shop and pay for it in easy installments.

Whatever the reason, credit cards offer you this advantage: they allow you to borrow money without having to go through a lengthy process! However, be warned – lending through credit cards is very expensive and not recommended unless necessary. Before applying for a credit card, check with your bank first. Some banks offer special discounts on standard credit cards if you have an account with them!

What’s the difference between a credit card and a charge card?

A charge card is different from a credit card in that it does not allow you to carry forward your balance. In other words, if you don’t pay fully for something charged on your card, you cannot carry forward the unpaid amount as an outstanding balance and make minimum payments. You have to pay off your entire due balance before you can use your card again.

What is the best credit card to get for a beginner

One of the most confusing things about getting your first credit card can be which one to get. There are so many different options out there, and each one has its benefits and drawbacks. We’ll tell you everything you need to know about choosing a credit card, whether you’re looking for rewards points or cashback, low-interest rates, or no annual fee.

Types of Credit Cards

Before you go out and get a credit card, it’s helpful to know the different types of cards available. There are two main categories: store-issued credit cards and bank-issued ones. Store cards offer exclusive shopping promotions, but they tend to carry higher interest rates. They may also have specific repayment terms, like requiring that you make a minimum payment each month. You could end up spending more than you can afford if you make only the minimum monthly payments. Many store cards don’t let you transfer your balance to another card, which means you won’t be able to take advantage of 0% intro APR offers or other perks.

Bank-issued credit cards are generally more flexible. They often have lower interest rates, better repayment terms, and the ability to transfer your balance if you need it. Some cards even offer rewards programs to incentivize spending, or they may help you build up your credit with a manageable introductory APR period.

How to choose the right card for you

There are hundreds of different credit cards to choose from, but choosing the right one for your needs can help you save money and build up good credit.

Choosing the right card type

The first thing you’ll need to do is decide which type of card you want.

Retail cards: Retail store credit cards offer great rewards and incentives to spend at the issuing retailer’s shops. These can be a good choice if you frequently shop at one store, but they tend to charge high interest rates and fees for late payments.

Bank-issued credit cards: Bank-issued credit cards generally come with lower interest rates and more flexible repayment terms. They also typically have a better rewards program than retail cards, which means they may offer more value for your spending. Before you choose a bank-issued credit card, you’ll need to decide if you’re looking for cash back or travel points.

Choosing the right features

Once you’ve decided on the type of credit card you want, it’s time to choose the features that will help you get the most out of your spending.

One thing to consider is whether you’ll pay interest on your purchases – if so, it can be helpful to look for a card with a low APR. You may also want to prioritize cards that come with perks like travel insurance or purchase protection.

Rewards credit cards offer cash back, travel points, or merchandise for spending on your card. They tend to have higher fees and interest rates than other cards, but they are often the best choice if you don’t carry a balance from month to month.

If you want flexibility with repayment terms, choose a credit card that allows you to make 0% APR introductory payments. These offers are typically for an initial period of six months or longer. Still, they can give you the time you need to pay off your balance without incurring additional interest charges.

Choosing a credit card with no annual fee

Many store-issued cards charge expensive fees for spending on your credit card. For example, cards at warehouse clubs can charge as much as $55 per year for the privilege of carrying their plastic.

If you spend a lot on your credit card each year, those fees can add up quickly and negate any savings you might get from store promotions.

It’s always a good idea to check whether there is an annual fee on a credit card before applying. You can also avoid paying fees by using a no-fee credit card, which is typically easier to get than a store credit card.

Choosing the right issuer

It’s important to remember that not all issuers offer good card options.

Your priority should always be to make sure the card issuer is a member of the major credit reporting agencies. If they’re not, you won’t be able to get a FICO score for your account, and that can limit future opportunities to get new cards or buy things with credit.

Another thing to consider when choosing a card issuer is whether they offer proprietary perks. Some issuers have special cardholder programs with unique benefits or discounts, so it’s worth looking at these features when comparing credit cards.

How to choose your credit line

Once you know all of the available features on a given credit card, it’s time to pick the one that best fits your lifestyle. Most issuers offer customers several different credit limit options to choose from, so choosing the right one is an essential part of getting a good deal on your card.

If you’re someone who likes to use your card for large purchases and pay it off every month, you’ll want to look for a high credit line with low fees. That way, you can maximize your rewards and avoid paying interest on your purchases.

If you’re new to credit or you plan on carrying a balance from month to month, it’s best to start with a low credit line and work your way up.

Conclusion

Choosing the right credit card for your needs can help you save money and build up good credit. It is important to remember that a low annual fee should be one of your top priorities when looking at different cards. The issuer also plays a vital role in selecting the best card, so make sure to research which companies have been around long enough to offer quality service before signing any contracts or making purchases with them. In addition, choosing debit or charge, Visa will give you more purchasing power than a traditional bank account would allow- but only if you can pay off those balances every month! We hope this article has given you some helpful information about choosing the best credit card for your needs.

Experian Credit Boost: How Is It Done?

Experian is an example of a company that has the ability to improve on an individual’s credit score just for signing up. But, how does this become something that users can rely on? What are reasons that Experian can be a reputable company, even though there is hardly any recognition behind how they function? Experian has such a large impact on the credit score of anyone who enrolls in guidance. Going through exactly what Experian does for its customers provides an element of clarity, encouraging more people to know how to get started.

When considering the benefits of boosting your credit score, one of the main factors that applies to having a strong credit score is making on time payments. Making consistent, on time payments for any bill that needs to be paid will slowly and exponentially increase the credit score of the individual making those payments. However, the difficulty in making each payment on time is the varying dates, amounts, and recurring times. For instance, some bills such as subscriptions and energy bills could be recurring monthly, but other things such as rent and insurance could be recurring monthly, at a different date than the first. This becomes a problem for people, especially due to the fact that it can be challenging juggling different bills on different days. With this ongoing confusion, this is where Experian steps in.

Experian is a credit boosting app that combines some of the monthly payments a user makes into the same day. With this new integration, Experian brings all of the applicable bills together, causing the user to pay once, and not worry about that payment for another 30 days. In some cases, Experian will go into someone’s credit history, and combine bills. Some bills, such as water, energy, utility, and phone bills can be assimilated into one. Because Experian does this for the customer, when those recurring payments are made on time, the credit score of the individual goes up. But how?

Experian uses this idea of combination payments to secretly boost the users credit score in a genius way. When someone pays for one bill, the reflection of the credit score is a minor change. Sometimes there will be a 3 point increase, other times there’s no change. This is based on the amount of money paid, and the consistently on-time payments. With Experian, the amount of bills that come together not only minimizes the times to pay bills, but also maximizes the payment made once. When this payment is made, it is a much larger increase from the previous statement, thus increasing the customers credit score instantly.

With an Experian boost, customers are able to lessen their worry about multiple days to pay bills, while growing their credit score throughout a once a month bill. Though this bill will be more expensive, it is also the only time money is due that month, urging the customer to save throughout the rest of the month. Experian increases credit score while making little changes.
